Physical QR Key & App Access Instructions (Supplement)

No User Account / Login Required: All 5 main tabs (Home, Apps, Purity & DNS, Focus, Settings) are accessible immediately upon opening the app without any account registration.

Physical QR / Barcode Key for Night Lock & Native Lock Screen: Enter or scan KASB-BRICK-77 to immediately unlock any QR-guarded app or setting.
15-Second Mindful Pause & Reflection Gate: When opening a restricted app or unlocking Settings, wait for the 15-second reflection timer to finish and tap the matching multiple-choice answer from the displayed quote.

1. Information We Collect and Access (Zero External Data Collection)

Minimum Phone: Detox & Focus is engineered with a strict 100% offline-first, zero-telemetry architecture. The application does not request the android.permission.INTERNET permission in its Android Manifest. Because the app has no internet access permission, it does not—and technically cannot—collect, transmit, upload, log, sell, or share any personal or sensitive user data to external servers or third parties.

We do not collect:

Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials (no account registration is required).
Precise or approximate device location data.
Contacts, call logs, SMS messages, photos, videos, or microphone recordings.
Advertising identifiers (AAID), device identifiers, IP addresses, or cloud crash analytics.

2. How On-Device Permissions Are Used

To function as a minimalist digital wellbeing home launcher and distraction blocker on your device, Minimum Phone: Detox & Focus requests the following Android system permissions, which are processed exclusively locally on your device:

Default Home Launcher Role (android.intent.category.HOME & QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES / <queries> for launchable apps): Used strictly on-device to display your installed launchable applications in a minimalist monochrome text list and launch apps when you tap them. Your list of installed apps never leaves your device.
Package Usage Stats (android.permission.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): Used strictly on-device to calculate daily app usage duration, enforce your mindful breathing / reading delay before opening distracting apps, and protect system settings during your configured Night Fortress hours.
Notification Policy & Post Notifications (android.permission.ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY, android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used strictly on-device to manage Do Not Disturb / Monk Mode focus timers and display local reminder alerts.
System Settings & Private DNS Status (android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS - Optional): Used locally on your device to check whether Android Private DNS family filtering is active and to toggle optional grayscale display mode.
NFC (android.permission.NFC - Optional): Used locally on your device if you choose to tap an NFC tag as a physical focus anchor to unlock restricted apps.
Background Process Management & Boot Receiver (android.permission.KILL_BACKGROUND_PROCESSES, android.permission.REORDER_TASKS, android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Used locally on your device to close background distracting apps when you exit a focus session and to resume your configured night focus schedule after a device reboot.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party SDKs

Minimum Phone: Detox & Focus does not share any personal or sensitive user data with any third parties. The application contains zero third-party advertising SDKs, zero third-party analytics SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, no Facebook SDK, no Sentry), and zero third-party tracking scripts.

4. Data Security, Retention, and Deletion Policy

All user preferences—including your pinned home screen apps, app friction tiers, custom scratchpad notes, slow-learning progress, and purity streak counters—are stored exclusively inside your device's private local sandboxed storage (Android SharedPreferences and local WebView storage) protected by Android OS file-system encryption.

How to Delete Your Data: Because no data is ever transmitted off your device or stored on our servers, you have complete control over your data retention and deletion at any time:

You can delete all app data immediately by opening Android Settings → Apps → Minimum Phone → Storage → Clear Storage / Clear Data.
Uninstalling Minimum Phone: Detox & Focus from your device permanently and immediately deletes 100% of locally stored settings, notes, and logs.

5. Children's Privacy

Minimum Phone: Detox & Focus does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). Because the app operates completely offline with zero data collection, no personal data from any user of any age is ever collected or transmitted.
